“I Have Purposed so Shall It Stand”

(Isa. 14:24.)

This must be the foundation of our instruction: love of God and love for and service to others… . That which we teach must be constantly gauged against these two standards established by the Lord. If we shall do so, this work will continue to roll forward… .

You and I may fail as individuals and miss the blessing. But his work cannot fail. There will always be those he will raise up to accomplish it. He has declared: “Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand” (Isa. 14:24).

I bear witness to you … that he, watching over Israel, slumbers not nor sleeps. God help us to be faithful to the great trust he has placed in us.
