The Lord spake also unto me again, saying:
Forasmuch as this people refuseth
_the waters of Shiloah that go softly,
_and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;
Now therefore, behold,
_the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river,
_strong and many,
_even the king of Assyria and all his glory;
_and he shall come up over all his channels,
_and go over all his banks.
and he shall pass through Judah;
_he shall overflow and go over,
_he shall reach even to the neck;
_and the stretching out of his wings
_shall fill the breadth of thy land,
_O Immanuel.
